SparkPeople is the best place to start your journey. I agree with Laurie, use the nutrition tracker. It sure helped me to make changes with my eating habits. I use it every day, even when I was on vacation, I logged in to make sure I tracked.
WELCOME to this awesome place called SparkPeople. I have found that there are two important tools that I cannot be without. The first one is simply the food tracker and I use it ALL OF THE TIME. The second is the Friend feed" that you can use to keep track of waht your SparkFriends are doing. FOr instance, if they post a new blog entry you can see it and respond if you wish. If they post an update you can see it. I check mine many times during the day.

I am really enjoying discovering all the information available and I am confident I will reach my goal for a healthier lifestyle. I am a native Texan who relocated to Denver 6 years ago. I used to be very active but turned into a couch potato and gave up on diet and exercise.
