Thanks, CLCIPS. I'll try that one - it's gotta be better than the 64 calorie beer. But, generally I have one with dinner and it lasts me about 3 hours so all I can say is, it's WET.

And to elaborate a little more on what Capsrock said - eat BEFORE you go! That way you have something in your stomach and won't mindlessly eat the snacks!

BMCTRB - I find Beck's light to be decent for a light beer, FYI....

NATLEVY - I like a flavored vodka (stoli peach is my fave) with seltzer water) or a wine. Have fun!

I am an occasional drinker, so when I do, wine is it. Wine tends to have less calories and it can be stretched if you get extra ice and sip. emoticon

Personally I drink vodka on the rocks with a splash of cranberry juice. Cheers!

Natlevy Wishing you good luck on Friday. Lots of good suggestions. Hope one is to your liking. I am not a drinker except on very special occasions that are very far and few between. Like maybe once a year.

My fave beer is Mic Ultra - any lighter beer and it doesn't taste great...I've heard the harder liquors are less calories if you mix with seltzer or tonic water

Rum and coke is one of my favorite ones...but i substitute coke with seltzer water.

i also tend to add seltzer water to quite a few other non mixed drinks....they last longer...I get a slight buzz...but have less calories. win win

I like to drink. I love a good stout beer or a nice bourbon now and again. I've gone out of town for "party" weekends where we pretty much drink steadily the whole time, lounge around the pool or go out on the boat (designated driver of course). Stay away from non-diet soda mixers (I like bourbon and diet ginger-ale) and things like kahlua or irish creme. And when you get that buzz going, stay the heck away from the snack foods. Alcohol is high in calories but has no fat. The problem is, the body stops everything its doing to process any alcohol in your system.

My alcohol consumption is very low but I've been drinking the 64 calorie Miller beer. NO, it isn't really good, but I try to fool myself.

Good luck.

Stick to wine and have a seltzer water or water w/ lemon in between glasses of wine. if you are anything like me, I like to have two-ish as opposed to one-ish glasses of wine.

Alright folks,

If all goes well, I'll be going to Happy Hour on Friday (after I workout btw). I dont drink beer and usually gravitate to mixed drinks and sometimes wine.

Any suggestions, so that I can have 1-2 drinks but not injest too many liquid calories?
