Good afternoon!

I joined SP about a year ago, at the same time as TERRIEJO and I know her from another team we are both on. But I never realized there was a WATP group until today (duuuuh!) I am a great fan of WATP and Leslie Sansone. I started walking with her about 5 years ago after I'd gained 15 pounds. I liked it because, unlike a gym which I could always find some excuse not to get to, there she'd be, every morning when I got up or every evening when I got home from work. I started off with her 1 mile, then graduated to 2, then started some of her other DVDs and now I own about 7 of them and use every one of them.

And I am REALLY grateful to her because a couple of months ago my doc recommended that I have a hysterectomy. Knowing that it was major surgery and knowing that I'd need to go into it healthy and strong, I combined Leslie's Walk Away the Waist/Walk Away the Abs with healthy eating and hiking and the result is that less than 2 weeks post-surgery I have none of that "swelly belly" that they talk about and I am even getting through Leslie's 1-mile routines feeling fine.

Leslie rocks!!

emoticon Philicia ... emoticon to the Walk Away the Pounds team. Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. It's nice to have you with us. I love walking with Leslie too, especially during the winter when it's too cold and snowy to get out much (I live in North Dakota).

Just wanted to say hello - I joined SparkPeople 3 weeks ago and have been getting back into clean eating and working out with Leslie. I have been enjoying her new "Target" workouts quite a bit and just got Stephanie Huckabee's PowerFit to do as a strength training add-on. I love working out to dvds and mixing it up. I'm shooting for 300 cardio minutes a week and additional time for strength training.
Losing weight is hard for me (even when I eat well and the right amount), but I'm in it for the long run, so if it takes more time, so be it!
