Hi - I am determined to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 50 in May. I have been pretty active on Spark for about 3 years. Using Fit Moms for Life dvds during that time I was able to drop my body fat by 10 percent and gain a lot of muscle. Now I am trying to take it to the next level. I have hired 2 different personal trainers (each for 4 months) to develop a program for me to reach my goals. I want to increase my cardiovascular endurance and strength. I have been doing my first program for about a month. My biggest goals are to do unassisted pull ups and run a marathon in August. I am no longer trying to lose weight. I want to stay about the same weight as I am now but increase my muscle. I hope to be very active well into my golden years so I need a good strong body to be able to do that. I look forward to the support of others to help me stay on track. I am very passionate about fitness and love to help others reach their goals too!

Hi everyone,
I joined this team to help keep me motiviated with my strength training. I looked at some pictures from a few weeks ago and noticed I really need to focus on toning and tightening up. I hope I can get some advice on how to make that happen.

Hi my name is alexa and I have been on my fitness journey since sept 2011. I lost the weight I wanted and now I am working on toning up. I am currently doing chalene extreme which is a beach body product. It is great for toning up and just all around workout. Hi all, I'm a mother of three and in the military. I quit smoking in 2007 and gained 30 pounds over the next three years. I've been up and down ever since. I really want be "tight and toned" and I don't necessarily want to lose all 30 pounds. Right now I'm concentrating on eating as healthy as possible and not burning myself out in the gym. Looking forward to conversing with everyone.

hi everyone

I am new and still trying to find my way around

I am hoping to find encouragement and encourage others to exercise and tone.

I currently do a rosemary Connelly full body workout dvd, but always skip a lot of days :( so I joined here to encourage me to do it every day and hopefully encourage others :) :)

I'm currently living in Wales, but I am from Ireland, and I have been invited to a family event in June and want to try and get into shape for the event.

I am in the middle of my studies so have been eating so unhealthy and skipping on the exercise but hopefully now I will get back on track :)

Hi everyone. I am a very busy working mom and wife. I'm loving having older self sufficient children. Everyone is now able to fix their own breakfast on a Saturday morning and 3/5 can drive themselves where ever they need to go. Only a year before the 4th can drive herself also.
I am trying to take off the pounds I have put on the past 4 years as I've focused on my job. It has been very stressful, but it's time to focus a bit on myself. I think I'm going to love this site. I've had good success with the app on my iPhone, decided it was time to become a member.

Howdy Guys and Gals!

My name is Erica. I work in Colorado as a police officer. I did strength training up until a few months ago when I had a tonsillectomy and am just now getting back into it.
I'm working on losing weight from the top of the muscle so I can get that well chiseled look. :)

I mostly use free weights though I do have a Bowflex machine at home.
Right now I'm benching max 165 lbs, shrugs at 240 lbs, tricep pull downs at 230... the list goes on and on.

My goal is to go to the Police & Fire Olympics hopefully next year.

Feel free to add me! I need the inspiration.

My husband and I did a Lee Labrada 'Lean body challenge' in January, then I gained the weight back :S .... BUT it got me excited about lifting! Then I found a website by musclehack, that encouraged me even more!! So, here I am, with sore muscles from yesterdays workout :D

Hi everyone!
I'm new to the team,but been on and off SP for a while.
I can call myself a work in progress - sometimes the road to progress is a set and shinny yellow brick road, other times... takes me through the bushes and deep dark forests where I get lost for days and days and days LOL

My ultimate goal is to be "hard as stone", meaning that when I move a limb, everything moves at once, there's no flab left behind to catch up half a minute later LOL Well, I guess you all know what I mean.

Hi Tammy! Welcome to the Team! Yes, portions can be a real problem to deal with. I have that same issue. I have had some success with being more organized and planning out my meals and pre-packaging lunch and snacks I take to work. However what gets me is the "mindless" snacking. I've got to get a better handle on that. If you find there is something that works good for you, please share. I love to hear things that work for people and it might be something I haven't thought about. Great job with your workouts!

Hi, my name is Tammy. I'm 42, married and have a beautiful 5-year-old daughter.

I exercise a lot - crossfit, zumba, abs & glutes, etc.

My problem is eating - getting portions under control. I am yo-yoing right now and want to get going in the downward direction again. I'd like to uncover all those fabulous crossfit muscles hiding under there. Tight and Toned would be perfect!
