Good morning, my name is Terri, I am 48. I have had a strong family history of diabetes and I had gestational diabetes 23 years ago with my 3rd child. I have always been very aware and have been tested regularly. Well, I went to the doctor this week and he finally threw the "D" word at me. My A1C was 6.2 (not sure what my last one prior was). I tend to eat healthy anyway so not changing a whole lot there, just watching the calories more.

Any advice to a "new" diabetic?
