Hi Welcome to the club? One that I wish I was not a member of. I had a nasty cold that turned in to pneumonia is how I was found out. I was diagnoised in August. Get diabetic classes in and monitor your readings. And keep track of what you eat. But don't dwell on it it is a life style change not a diet.
Most of all enjoy life. Welcome to the new diabetics.
Hi everyone. I got this diagnosis this past Monday (Happy Thanksgiving week). I am still reeling in the aftermath of it. I have a nasty cold, that is what I went to the doctor for in the first place last Friday and did some blood work. They called Friday evening and said I needed to return on Monday.
I am still working on getting the testing right. I have improved since Monday. Those first attempts were a joke, would have been a joke if this wasn't so serious.
My new decision is to get healthy no matter what it takes.
This is the link to my web page telling about my first book.
