Welcome to the team! I have been a diabetic for over a year now. Congrats on losing 23 pounds! Some days are harder than others. Drink plenty of water. Log your food everyday, that really helps and let you know how many carbs you are eating a day. Exercise as much as you can.
On June 30th I went to the dr for my yearly checkup. My dr, who is a long time friend, came in and said we had something important to talk about. That is when he told me that I had Type II Diabetes. It was like the rug had been pulled out from under me.... I was totally shocked. Since then I have been working on my diet and have started exercising. It is so hard...I am a pasta and pepsi girl from way back :o) I have managed to give up the sodas. I have one once a week. Since my diagnosis I have lose 23lbs!! I am looking for some tasty recipes, any help will be greatly appreciated.
