Hi April and welcome to the group. I am so sorry about your ticker not working. I have problems with mine too. I got frustrated and gave up on it. I'll look into it again this weekend when I have more time and get back with you on that. We are glad to see you here. It is scary when you first find out you have it. We can learn to manage it and we can even make it to where we can sometimes get off medicine if you are on it. That's the goal for a lot of us. If you have any questions, just start a new topic under "General Team Discussion Forum". We are a small but growing group and we have some great members here that are very knowledgeable. If we don;t know the answers we will certainly try to find out or at the very least point you in thew right direction. Again welcome! We hope to learn more about you soon.
I'm Becky and I was just diagnosed in February. I was totally shocked although I shouldn't have been since I am overweight and have been for a while. The one thing I can suggest to you also is to remain active in your groups and keep working on your weight and exercise. Exercise is something I have to continually work on. I am very busy especially during the week. I also am not a fan of exercise. That would be pretty obvious and the reason I am in this position now. I find it easy to walk, even when I am tired it seems to relax me. I have started a walking routine that is more consistent since I am on summer break at least in school.
Did your doctor put you on any medicine or insulin? When were you diagnosed?
