I'm 25 and I just joined along with my husband as a way to improve our weight, health and lifestyle and to set a good example for our 10 month old son.
Dieting is very tricky for me because I tend to consider meats and carbs and what not to be my safe foods as I have a condition known as fructose malobsorption. Basically I do not produce the enzymes to breakdown the natural sugars found in fruits and vegetables. I am also allergic to corn and soybeans... usually ok in small amounts but it seems touchy and sometimes very unpredictable.
I was actually incredibly sick the entire time I was pregnant and lost 30 lbs during the course of the pregnancy. I was on 3 different types of medications to encourage me to eat and to helpl keep food down and I was really hoping to keep the weight off, but 10 months later I have gained it all back.
I work full time and go to school partime and my cooking skills are limited so I'm really in need of disciplining myself and learning the tricks of the trade.
