Hi I'm new. I've been sparking for about 6 weeks, but I really need to improve my fitness, and this seemed like a good way. I'm a preschool aide, so most of my exercise comes from chasing 4 year-olds on the playground (otherwise known as running in circles while yelling "Tickle monster is going to get you!" which is a pretty fun workout). I'm hoping that I can motivate my kids to exercise as well. I look forward to getting to know you all.

G'day,
Tom here, just wondering if this team is open to men too? I like the concept of a quick fire as my job keeps me sitting a lot of the day. I'm either in meetings or working on computer emailing etc. And just need a little bit of motivation to be less sedentary.

Hi! I'm Lynn, I've been sparking since March/2013, lost 40 pounds so far but have stalled out in the last couple of months.

I need something like this to get a spark re-started - I've been plateaued since Sept and have really been dragging about getting going again. I'm hoping these 'little' challenges will help get me into an exercise routine.

Not at all new to SpatkPeople but new to the team. I have lost 30 pounds so grand have 13 more to go for goal. I have been good at staying on plan with eating and fair at exercise.

Have been gaining and losing the same 1 or 2 pounds for a couple of weeks now - so wanted to join a challenge and find one that will include accountability and encouragement. this looks like the spot for me.

I'm looking forward to starting the challenge (again)! Being a new teacher, I'm learning to balance work, family, church, and self-preservation. I think trying to make 4 short workouts might take the stress out of trying to get a workout in! I have 2 breaks plus lunch, so it's eady to see how to work the short exercises into my day - and water!

I am new to this team and looking forward to a new daily challenge. I am just finishing up with the BLC and am about 15-20 lbs from my ultimate goal weight. Hi! I just joined the team. I'm trying to lose about 10 pounds and muscle up a little, and I'm intersted in finding new, motivational ideas to fuel my passion for fitness. I recently had to quit a women's workout group because I moved and then I quit the gym to save money...so I'm here & ready with my inner motivator!

Hi I am Marie...I am back focusing on me again...that seemed to get lost for a little while. Next week I will be starting to workout again with a focus and a plan as I have no excuses as the gym and pool are in the same building as my new home. I am excited for the new me. Hello, I’m Jessica and this is my 5th alter ego with Sparkpeople. I felt it was necessary because after losing 40 lbs earlier this year (Jan-Apr) with Spark, I fell off the wagon. I went from 216 to 224.8 where I started back up this week. Now my ultimate goal is to hit 160, but I want to eat better, lose the stress, and reduce the to-do’s on my to-do list of life. Which as a mother, volunteer, employee, business owner, wife, sister, etc…… (we all wear many hats), the list is never ending. I am looking for supportive friends, who won’t hesitate to kick my butt!

Joined Sparkpeople about 2 months ago.
I can NOT jump or run in any way, but most other challenges should be ok.
I am getting better and stronger day by day but my back, my spine actually, has its limitations.
I have lower spine and hip degenerative arthritis with slipped disks and sciatic nerve damage.
Less than a month ago I still needed my crutches to walk. Not anymore unless longer distance.

Christmas 2011 - 250 lbs
Joined Sparkpeople July 24, 2012 weighing in at 236 lbs

Following the Readers Digest Diet: real foods (not processed foods).
No real exclusions except added sodium and/or sugar.
Lots of fruits and vegetables, different milks (soy, almond, coconut, dairy), yogurt, cheese, High fiber whole grains. Leaner meats, fish, healthy fats, Omega 3-6-9

9/1 - 227 lbs
9/10 - 225 lbs (-10%) emoticon emoticon

Gained about 3.5 lbs on Fri/Sat/Sun
and lost them again on Mo/Tue/Wed

9/19 - 224 lbs

Huzzah, I'm Chef (NOT a chef, long story), and was browsing a lotta teams looking for something quick and fun to perk up or in addition to my daily streakity streaks (e.g., I log my daily exercise into streaks and never miss a day exercising). What a fun team. I like to exercise bursts in addition to the streaks throughout the day to stoke metabolism and make me feel better. These ideas are great. Woot!
