I had'nt previously seen Crack the Fat Loss Code. Your posting made me curious and I tracked it down. It is pure 100% Carb cycling. This book is probably the best on the subject in existence. It has a great deal of information and instruction about this one topic. Thank you for letting me know about it.

Ok so this was interesting research.

Crack the Fat Loss Code led me to Conquer the Fat Loss Code. I was wondering if there was anything more current. It seemed dated and I figured maybe we already had the latest information.

So that led me to the realization that Wendy passed away. Cancer. Very sad. But also made me wonder. I know some things are totally out of our control, cancer being one of them. But also some cancers can be benefited by our diet. My mom died from cancer at the age of 44 also, just like Wendy, and my mom ate clean and healthy.

So anyways, I guess a red flag sort of went up. She was just so young and when I hear of someone dying young from sickness, and when I hear of someone dying really really old, I always wonder.. what did they eat?

So that led me to someone who says Wendy gave him proprietary rights. His plan is called 14 day rapid fat loss plan, based on Wendy's principals, but he also mentions some strategies from others I have heard of before, like Tim Ferris of the 4-Hour Body. So it is a bit more current.

So it looks very viable to me. Good whole clean foods. Same kind of foods I eat now. He lays it all out there. Many times these things are so vague. But he spells out what to eat, when to eat, and when to exercise and what specifically to do. I think I like the idea of the structure. Right now I don't have alot of exercise structure.

So while I know it is mostly about the nutrition, I like that if you combine it all together, you get a 1-2 punch. It is a carb cycle of every other day. One weekend cheat. And then the exercise intensity matches the diet day, even certain things to do on your cheat days for maximum benefits.

So anyways, I think I will give it a try come Monday. Can't believe I just typed that. I have not been on a "diet" since I started, and have never said... I will start that come Monday haha. But I have totally changed my lifestyle so this is merely a tweak to maximize results. I am okay with that :)

So I will start fresh Monday. emoticon

Thanks for sharing this info! I will let you know how it goes emoticon

Yes, carbs at night help raise serotonin levels which helps regulate sleep, therefore helping to regulate our circadian rhythms. John Kiefer's approach also takes into consideration both hormonal and enzymatic responses to insulin sensitivity.

I have read about the perfect health diet. I think I am the type that needs a plan since having too much freedom is not giving me results.

At the end of the day, I think the best diet is the one that gets results and is able to sustain according to your lifestyle and health needs.

I mostly follow Perfect Health Diet (diet as in foods you eat, not something you are on) and he too suggests most of the carbs to be eaten around sunset, in order to more closely follow the circadian rhythms.

I also try to calorie cycle, which by default makes me carb cycle also. However I probably don't go as high as maybe I should.

I did google this though, and I thought it sounded very interesting and I want to look at it some more.

I have the book, and it looks like a good diet. I got it as I was doing some research on diets, or rather approaches to carb cycling. I have not done the diet since at the moment I am a little more insulin insensitive than I would like and it would be too many carbs for me at this time. I think this diet has most of your carbs in the morning and a few times at night. I am kinda into the Renegade Diet by Jason Feruggia and Carb Backloading by John Kiefer, which inverts the carb intake at night instead of the day. If I eat carbs in the morning, then I'm shot for the rest of the day for both energy and eating too many carbs. Hope it works for you!!
