You are not alone. Many of us have been on this road for some time. I find using the Sparkpeople nutrition tracker very helpful. You can opt for using their recommended menus or choose your own foods. I choose my own foods. It doesn't take long to add new foods to your favorites. Believe in yourself. Others have reached their goals and so can you and I.
With arthritis in your hip, would you have access to pool exercise? I live in a smaller town and there are two pools fairly close that offer either times when you can walk in the pool or do aerobics. There are also pool arthritis exercise classes. My friends with arthritis or back issues find this the best option for them.
Check out the various teams offered here on Sparkpeople. I have formed some good friendships here. I also go to a TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group for my face-to-face accountability. TOPS is one group that members who have reached their goal weights keep coming to meetings to both encourage others and get the encouragement they need. The ones who reach their goals need that support like the rest of us. Each group can be a little different- see where you feel most comfortable. The other thing I love about TOPS is their annual state recognition awards weekend - it is SO inspiring to see people just like yourself who are "on the road" and those who have just reached their goals (KOPS Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) and then those who have kept it off 3, 5, 10, 20 - sometimes 40 years or more!
Also I recommend setting up a Sparkpage here on Sparkpeople. Members can send you encouragement and Spark goodies.
I am tired of being overweight. I need help getting it off. I've been on this road for 4 years and need positive help. I've done WW 3 times not losing a pound. I have arthiritis in my hip and having problems exercising. Anyone with ideas please respond. Thanks
