Welcome to the 1st step to doing something about your situation. My advice is to do a lot of reading and educating yourself and getting ideas. There are articles on setting realistic goals and attitudes for better nutrition and fitness. Learn how many calories you need to exist and then how many you need to take care of increased activity. My 1st month included the original Spark book. It helped build my foundation for a starting point. I read articles every day. I have garnered a lot of tools along the 3 years I have been with SparkPeople...and still learning. I have had some failures along the way but I am still much better off than I was 3 years ago. I fall off the nutrition wagon and gain back some weight by making poor choices, but eventually I climb back on board. Consistency is the key with good nutrition, fitness, and educating myself.
