I, too, am type 2 diabetic. It's no fun. I drink protein shakes and add spinache and other veggies and it helps in keeping my numbers lower. Also a winning meal is cottage cheese. I don't like it plain so i have the small del monte fruit cups rinsed and drained preferably the mandarin orages or pineapple mixed in. Cut back on white bread, potatoe, pasta, rice, etc and substitute that with healthy veggies. Best of luck to you.
