Hello, Everyone! My name is Melissa and I am 24 years young! I am a mother of 2 (1 and 3) and a loving wife.
I became obsessed with researching anything and everything about Being Healthy for 3 reasons:
- To have the ability to teach my children how to live a healthy life
- To help my husband lose and maintain a healthy weight
- To lose my 'baby' belly!
As for my motivation and energy levels, they aren't where I want and need them to be. I set my alarm, almost always hit the forbidden 'SNOOZE' button. I will get into the habit of working out in the mornings and feeling good about myself, but that little bit of motivation goes away after a couple weeks. I will always keep trying, but I would love to STICK WITH IT! I just don't know how.
My husband has the same problem, just far worse than mine. I feel that if he sees how I am doing - when I can stay successful anyhow - that he may want to do a little something for himself. I am most concerned with his weight. He has a family history of heart attacks in overweight family members. I want him to live a long, healthy and happy life, but I can't make him, he has to want to do it for himself.
Our diet as a family has changed drastically, and I am very happy about the decisions I am making for us here. Recipes are endless and I love new ideas! I am online researching things that interest me at LEAST 4 hours a day, and most of them are on anything that has to do with food and healthier ways to eat.
