Welcome to Spark People and the Oregon team. The number one thing that has helped me lose 50 pounds is logging on every day for at least 10 minutes. It keeps the healthy thoughts in the front of my brain. As Debbie said, this site is huge. I have been here for years and don't think I have missed more than a week of posting and I still have not explored the whole thing. I just started checking out the recipes for the first time this spring. Enjoy the process.

I just joined Spark yesterday and I am excited to see all the resources and information available to us for free. Most sites charge for trackers, diet plans, etc. I am hoping to lose 40 to 50 pounds by tracking and exercising more. I tend to be a mindless eater and eat when I am stressed or bored. The calories that I consume during one snacking period could be a whole days supply sometimes! I hope that by keeping track of everything I put in my mouth, I will be more careful with what I eat. I am really going to try not to cheat and to track everything even something small because even the little things add up. Also, I recently rejoined Curves so I will be going there at least 3 times a week and hopefully using my elliptical machine 2 other days. Anyway, I enjoy reading your posts. They inspire me to stay dedicated. I keep telling myself if other people can do it, so can I!
