We are now on our trip down into California....and surprise to me all the menus have calorie counts on them (if you can believe them) which makes the choices easier. I still am looking forward to returning to our home.
To make the healthy habits stick, I don't recommend an all or nothing approach. Pick just one thing that you want to accomplish on the road. It could be drinking your 8 cups of water or just not eating any processed foods such as McDonalds. You could choose to add something new and healthy to your diet each day. I just discovered pomegranites yesterday, but don't recommend them for traveling as they are so messy. You could slice up a jicama to nibble on in the car.
Subway and most Deli's are great for travelers. Many healthy options. If you go out to dinner, go someplace you will really enjoy and order what you want and really enjoy it. Then get right back on your program without guilt. Guilt is the number one enemy to success.
At some point check out the benefits of green tea and Braggs organic vinegar. They are easy additions that help improve your health. Have a wonderful, healthy and safe trip.
Hi, I'm getting back to using SP after not using it for a long time....still working on getting healthy, had some health problems that really pushed me back. I live in Douglas County and feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful place. My grand children are my best motavation for keep working at it.
