Welcome to the team. Winters are very hard in Oregon because we are often house bound and a little boredom and seasonal depression seems to become the catalyst to be tempted to eat comfort food. I practice healthy eating 3 days in a row and then I treat myself to a special treat, not just a candy bar, but something from a restaurant, chocolate shop or home made. It gives me something to look forward to. Just change one thing for three days. A good one is to drink the prerequisite amount of water. Speaking of which, I need to refill my cup.

This seems to be the millionth time I have said/thought about starting a "reduced intake/going to exercise" diet. I know your not supposed to call it a diet -- new way of eating. I have lost 100+ lbs several times, and felt absolutely WONDERFUL after doing so, then why do I keep going back to feeling so horrid? My goal once again is to lose 100+ lbs and keep it off forever!!! I love to sew (I have a room of projects), movies, my grandkids that live 1000 m. away, crafts, hiking -- but most days I really don't feel motivated to work on anything. I sit and watch too much TV.
