Thank you Cathy and everyone.

I saw the neurologist in tualatin. He did a battery of tests in the exam room. It appears it's only my eyelids at this time. He prescribed a pill called Pyridostigmine I'm taking 2 tabs 3 times a day. My eyelids are opened now. then I saw my optholmologist and he was pleased that my eyes are looking good. On tyuesday I ahve a CT scan of the chest (Thymus) and we work from there. I ahve been blogging about this. but i feel pretty good. the pills have my diabetes out of whack. that's my major complaint right now.

I really appreciate your support.

Debbie, I am also sorry you are having to go through this. I did read up on it, and see the prognosis can be good. Just like diabetes it can be controlled to a certain extent. Still having to take a battery of medications every day is no fun.

Rosalyn,
I never heard of the disease either. I really have no idea if the flu vaccine had anything to do with it. It is not hereditary. I don't fall into the category of what ahs caused it for instance RA (Rumatoid Arthritis can cause it. But I don't have RA. I'm basically very healthy except for type 2 Diabetes.
I will probably know more on Thursday.

I'm not sure if any of you from the Oregon Team read my blogs but last week I received the blow of my life by being diagnosed with MG. (Myasthenia Gravis)

Shortly after I received a flu vaccine about 1 month ago my eyelids started closing up. (it's very difficult for me to see right now) My daughter noticed this first. She doesn't see me on a daily basis so i guess it was easy for her. I saw my Optholmologist speacialist and he saw me every day for 2 weeks to keep an eye on changes. He ordered blood work done. First test came back negative the MG took about 10 days but it came back Positive. I see a neurologist Thursday. this is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease.

If any of you in this team have it and can give support I'd greatly appreciate it a lot. I am searching high and low for a team on this topic.

Blessings
