My bookshelf is full too. :) The only book I read for health, now, is SparkPeople. I have a SparkPeople CD in my car and it starts when I start my car. The concepts never get old. Ti is a constant reminder of staying on track.
My bookshelf is full of various diets and books for motivation. Since I have been on Spark for over a year I feel they are of no value. I have relied totally on Spark and have lost 67 lbs, the safe way. My key has been logging in every morsel of food to control my calories and various nutrients. The same goes for fitness logs. I have been on several plateaus but with reading Spark articles, member comments and Blogs...I have gotten past them. My goal is to lose another 30 lbs. It is much harder work than the 1st 30 but I still continue to forge ahead. Good luck to you and your journey.
I have been on a perpetual diet for 15 years. I have lost the first 50 pounds successfully, and kept it off, but I am still 50 pounds from my goal! I am going to be trying the 17 day diet program as of this week. (that is as soon as the book is delivered to me) I am having trouble keeping to a program. I need accountability and motivation!
