Welcome to the team. I have been with Spark over a year now and have learned many things about dieting and being healthy. It is a must that I pay close attention to calories, fitness and emotions. They go hand-in hand. I use the "nutrition and Fitness log" provided by Spark. I do not miss a day because it is what keeps me in line. Basically to lose weight it is calories in vs calories expended. You need to have a calorie deficit in order to lose weight. A 3500 calorie deficit = 1 pound of fat. The deficit can be done by eating fewer calories, exercise or a combination of both. I like to eat so I do a lot of exercise to create my deficit.
I know all my numbers, BMI, BMR, MHR, THR etc....it is essential that for me to control what I can. It take commitment and re-educating one self and making the right choices. Replacing bad habits with better habits. I have a limit of 2380 cal/day based on my activity and I am satisfied with 3 meals and a couple of healthy snacks.
