Welcome to the team. Right now I am a firm believer in getting refined sugar of any kind of wheat out of the diet. I also think doing a few minutes of exercises every ten minutes keeps the blood circulating and helps keep all those internal organs working healthier. Dr. Oz says drink green tea and my last bit of advice if to make sure you get your 8 8oz glasses of water everyday too. Good luck with your program. This is the place to reach your goals. There are several diabetic teams. You will find one that is a good fit. There are also a lot of SP articles on diabetes. Just log in every day for at least ten to fifteen minutes and explore. It is amazing what you can learn and the support you can find.

Once you ahve a spark page going learn about tracking your nutritiona nd fitness minutes. You don't say too much about yourself. Exercise is important with diabetes as is watching your diet.
As a diabetic Type 2 myself, I have found, and read, that exercise helps. Especially some type of cardio. I needed to lose weight, so along with losing weight and exercise my diabetes is well controlled. I have dropped one medication and looking to drop others. I will need to talk with my doctor.
