Welcome to Spark and Oregon Team. The greatest medicine for depression and/or low self esteem is do something for yourself and everything else is secondary. It has been proved that exercise is the best thing for depression. There are a lot of tools here in Spark and many article written by professionals that know what they are talking about. I would suggest taking a 4 hour sitdown in from of your computer and just start reading article about what you want from Spark. Setting mini-goal are importnat. There is help for that.
Good luck on your Spark journey. You have found the right place.

Hi Sheryl,
Well great for you that you have joined SparkPeople. You have made your first step towards living a healthy life. You'll feel so much better and have more self esteem. It takes awhile to navigate around the website so don't get frustrated. It's really kind of fun. I have found other food tracking programs much more user friendly, but then everyone has their own preferences. I like to get my "SparkPoints" I never thought I'd make to as many points as I have now. I did have a lot of set backs last year. I had two major surgeries and this year I've already had one surgery. That's enough of that for awhile!!! emoticon
