Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!

Thanks for your help emoticon

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him

Welcome. I don't use the meal planner, I checked the box for them not showing and then put in what I fix. You can go in and enter your foods and I like to go to the search page and click on enter food not listed especially for pre packaged things because everything is a bit different from day to day.

Don't try and enter all you stuff at one time because you also add it to the days food. I didn't realize that until I saw a calorie count of 10,000+ for the day emoticon and it's too much of a pain to delete all that.

When you get your foods entered in your favorites then it's easy just to go click on them. You can also fix up food groups for casseroles, soups, sandwiches, goulash etc. your morning supplements too and you can have your suppliments tracked as well so you know what you are lacking etc.

I really like that feature. Go in and play with it and it will become easy to use and save lots of time. You can also share your food favorites with the rest of us which can be nice as sometimes we have to do a Web search for a certain Resturaunt etc. to get the calorie count. It makes it easier when you don't have to do the search.

On the foods you put in through foods not listed, put a * in front of it, it will then keep that food at the top of your page of favorites. It also helps too, like if it's a cake, pizza, what ever, to list the number of servings beside the title.

HELLO AND WELCOME FROM THE SOUTHERN COAST! I DON'T USE THE FOOD PLANNER EITHER. I GO BY THE FLAT BELLY DIET GUIDELINES. THAT BEING SAID, I AM SURE SPARK HAS A-1 INFORMATION IF YOU CHOSE TO USE THEIR PLAN.
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY!!!

Thank you! I haven't decided if I'll use the meal plans or not. Right now I'm just learning as I go. I might try the meal plans after I go grocery shopping.

Hi and welcome from Eugene/Springfield. (almost neighbors).
Wish I could help you with the meal plans, I really don't use them - I kind of make up as I go, mindful of the calories. But, I'm sure you'll get some really good suggestions.

Hi and welcome. You will find some wonderful, friendly people here. Explore the site and you will find lots of things here that are useful. I have not used the meal plans. I see no reason why they should not work. With this large a group I am sure anything that did not work would not last on this site, Good luck on your new venture.

Newbie here. I live in Lowell, OR and today is my first day. I did so-so on my first day. It will get better. Do any of you find the meal plans useful?
