Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!
wow, kayaking, huh? Fun. I do Dragon Boating.
By the way We're racing in Salem this coming Sunday Woo Hoo.
Anyways this is a great team and the members give each other support.
Hope you like it here.

Welcome to the Oregon Team Bratis, from So. Oregon! I've lived here almost my entire life.
I see that you like photography and have joined the Shutterbugs team also. That's great. I look forward to you participating in the weekly Shutterbugs assignments. They've helped me learn so much and the more I learn the more I like photography. It helps me be more active.

To be inspired, inspire someone else; to be motivated, motivate someone else (it works for me).
Did you use your camera today?
Feel free to visit my flickr page to get to know me/my family better
Welcome to this Oregon group - glad to have you aboard. You'll find everything very helpful.
I too love to cook (bake mostly), but have had to give it up for obvious reasons.

Hi Everyone! My name is Bratis, and yes that is my real name; inherited from my dear Grandmother. I'm 53 years old and have been a residend of oregon for 15 years now. I've reached a turning point in my life where I need new interaction with others. Hopefully you will fill that need. I'm excited about the goals I've set; seems like over the years I have lost and then rewarded myself by putting the pounds back on. This time my plan is a little different. I just want to be a healthy person as I gracefully age! I hear the older you get you return to the weight you were when you were in high school. Boy do I look forward to that day:-) I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to put in this message to you all, but I'm sure I'll learn as I go. Looking forward to getting to know all of you, where you're from and what you hope to accomplish on this site as well. I guess we're all in this together and that makes it kind of nice. Usually I keep my diet plans to myself and go about my business; this is different so seems like I'm breaking the rut already.
My favorite things to do are photography, biking, kayaking (especially the San Juan Islands!) and of all things cooking!
I'll have to admit right up front that I am a huge chocoholic! In years past I have had to break that cycle; the longest I have gone without chocolate is a year. Don't think I'll get that drastic again, boy it was a ruff year. Everyone suffered!
I'm determined to make this an exciting experience!!!
