Hi Ewefluffy! Glad you found us, and glad that you are finding SP helpful. I love it. The people have made all the difference in the world to me here. Without their support I would have quit two or three times by now! But slow and steady is the right way for me - 15 pounds in 4 months may not sound like a lot, but it's better than nothing!

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!

Slow and steady works. I started SP in June and with a new habit of walking with a DVD and some changes in my food, I have lost 60 pounds. SLOW but steady. I use 3 lb dumbbells to help me keep my arms less jiggly. :) I walk the equivalent of 6 miles a day. 15 minutes a mile.

Good luck! Find something that works for you and stick to it. Don't be discouraged by small losses or plateaus, it's just part of the process.

I am Marcia, I am 26 years of age. My goal is to lose 150 pounds in the next 3 years. I am looking forward to meeting new people and reaching my goals. I have a three year old daughter and she is one of my biggest reasons for doing this. I want to be able to watch her grow up and someday be a grandma.
