We have a leading in town (a sub for my group but she is a regular at other groups) and she gets really defensive is you say anything non ww. Like she does not like it if someone talks about sparkpeople or if say anything about campbells soup or any other soup because progresso is the one that is "weight watcher" approved. Don't even get me started on yogurts or any foods that are not the weight watcher brand.

New low reached 149.2 lbs on 5/6/11. Made my weight watcher goal on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.
New walk record 9/9/11, 4 miles in 58 minutes.

Weighed in the morning and am down .6 of a pound. I will take it. Are any of you encountering cranky leaders at WW? Mine seems to think that every question is a negative statement about the program. This is not a negative group that meets at 7:30 am. Are any of you encountering negative comments from participants during your meetings. She normally is not this defensive.

I am amazed that I have not bothered to join this team until now. I have been a member of Weight Watchers since 2003 and on Sparkpeople since Feb 2010. Several of us are already friends. I used WW to not lose weight but instead to gain control of my diabetes. My insulin intake has been cut in half and my blood pressure medicine has also been reduced. It is now time for me to concentrate on losing weight. In July, I had a mini-stroke and I am just now starting to get back to heavier exercise. I don't find the new points plus confusing and it actually may really be a big help for me as a diabetic as it now takes carbs into consideration but starting it at Christmas time has been difficult for me as I haven't had the time to re-configure all my recipe points. I will be interested in listening to others discuss the new program. I was down 1 pound last week after starting it.

Thanks, for the support. So far I am just really confused as to where to look for what I need on this site. This is my first time trying to be a real part of a group-and I am not really sure what to do. But I will continue to come and read and try to learn.

thats what this team is all about, helping each other learn this new program. Some of us are tweeking it for maintainance others are losing weight. Hi everyone! My name is Lorna and I have been a lifetime member in good standing of WW for the past 15 years. I lost almost all of my 60 pounds before they implemented the old points system. Right now, I am trying to tweak down to a new lower weight and then use "points Plus" for maintenance-I only have 3 pounds to go. I would like to learn this new WW points plus program but have LOTS of questions. I have the Getting Started booklet and one of the new calculators. I have an old food scale-and may spring for a new one in January if I can figure out this new way of tracking my food and exercise. I don't drive and can only go to meetings once a month-but since I am already at goal that is all I need to do to keep my membership valid. I would love to help new people who are struggling because that would inspire me, too. So if you have a handle on this new plan perhaps we could work together to help each other.
