Thanks for the response. As you can see I'm not good at following up on my account. One of my problems is I really don't like breakfast. I'll have to try to make myself eat it. I prefer steel cut oats rather than instant, maybe I can make some of those.

Hi Leana, I had bad results about 2 yrs ago, which was a wake up call for me. I also joined spark people because it did not know what to do and it really helped me a lot . I started using the food tracker right away. It is hard at first but really pays off. I added cholesterol to the nutrient tracker and it was an eye opener. My best tip is to have oatmeal for breakfast with fruit as much as possible. I still just have the instant because it is so convenient but there is the crockpot one too that many people recommend. This helped me so much in lowering my cholesterol and my doctor was impressed by my results. Good Luck to you. J.J.

Hi all. Day before yesterday my doctor told me I have cholesterol problems and need to take Lipitor. What's supposed to be high is low; what's supposed to be low is high. I'm old (66) and still fat. I don't know what to eat, what to do. Please help if you can. I'm joining this group because maybe I can get some insight into what I'm supposed to do. Thanks.
