Dieting has caused my cholesterol to plateau. Sounds funny but I guess metabolizing old fat has its demerits. Last year at this time my cholesterol was 228 and blood pressure was a little high. Last year at this time I was exploring dietary changes.
Now trained in portion control and better at choosing low saturated fat foods, I am sixty pounds lighter and total cholesterol has decreased a hair below the alarm level - 199. 2-3 servings vegetables per meal makes a difference for me. My dietician recommends 9 servings of vegetables a day!
