Wow, you do have to do some work...get that walking in soon. I tried to contact you in the forum, but somehow you got lost in the system and it said you were not here. Hope you stick around long enough for us to get to know you.

My cholesterol went down initially after meds and watching what I eat. I have had good numbers now the last several years. This last time (Feb.) it went back up - not much - but enough that my doctor wants a re-check in 6 months. As she put it "How long do you want to live?" Sure can be a wake up call. Work with your doctor and watch what you eat! I want to stay around a while longer! emoticon

Dieting has caused my cholesterol to plateau. Sounds funny but I guess metabolizing old fat has its demerits. Last year at this time my cholesterol was 228 and blood pressure was a little high. Last year at this time I was exploring dietary changes.

Now trained in portion control and better at choosing low saturated fat foods, I am sixty pounds lighter and total cholesterol has decreased a hair below the alarm level - 199. 2-3 servings vegetables per meal makes a difference for me. My dietician recommends 9 servings of vegetables a day!
