I decided to join this group instead of the separate cholesterol and high blood pressure teams for simplicity. The other groups are very good too, but I need to keep things simple, and having both of these conditions in one place is helpful to me for now. I consider myself in the "pre" stage for both BP and cholesterol. Definitely a time for making lifestyle changes to reverse this progression. No meds recommended yet by PCP but if I don't get my numbers down, I'll be headed there quick, not to mention the gradual physical damage that occurs from elevated cholesterol, triglycerides, and BP. I am tracking nutrition most of the time, developing (slowly) an exercise habit, and working with managing migraines, sleep apnea, and possibly some type of arthritis (not diagnosed yet). I have been finding it challenging to maintain the exercise while experiencing more frequent migraines, and am learning to manage that better. Some days I am struggling to do the things I know are helpful but I know I cannot give up. I am staying focused on the positive effort, and expect my progress will continue, even if it is slow.

I have a physical exam scheduled for late July, with blood tests, so I am trying to do the right things for this month to get good numbers and develop strong habits to continue with improving results.
