I know it is hard from my past of losing and putting on weight through the years. It is hard to put yourself first when you have little ones and even big ones running around. I think it is a big help to log in to SparkPeople everyday so you remember yourself and not get lost in others needs. You are doing great, with 1 pant size down. Keep up the good routine, you go girl!

Welcome Linda

Impressive that you stayed within your 1200 calories range for 50 days. I get close to 30 days and I blow it. I keep trying though. As we get older, our metabolism definitely seem to slow down but that means we just have to be more creative.

Hope you will join Rosie and me in the streak column. We are both pretty much starting over. emoticon

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Even if we lose the race, we are still a winner (just a slow winner).

As long as you keep moving, you are still lapping those on the couch.

Do not take things personally as it is never about us.

HI. My name is Kari. Im 23 days shy of being 21. Over the last 5 years i have put on 70 sum pounds... I had my daughter 10 months ago. And i started to realize how tired i get trying to chase her around the living room, and that day i decided it was time to lose weight. i want to be able to go to the park with her and run around and play! plus i want to look good for my husband again!
I have been trying to eat 1200 calories a day for the last 3 months. I have lost a total of 16 pounds and 1 pant size so far. Every bit of encouragement from someone trying to do what im doing is greaT!

Hi
I do wish you luck. As I do not know what number of daily calories you are use to now, I would suggest to slowly cut back that way you are more likely to succeed.
Posting daily helps keep me focused. Although we constantly fall back, instead of using the slip to feel bad and eat -- reflect and learn how to do better next time.

Hi, I'm not new to sparkpeople but I am new to this forum. I have alot of weight to lose and I have been doing some research lately. I found out that a 1200 calorie diet is good for obese people. I will be joining a gym at the beginning of Feb. and I am trying to find out the best way to do a diet. I have been on diet pills from the docs and they aren't cutting it (they do at first). Well wish me luck!
