I am sitting here laughing WITH you, not at you. "just depends on something...if only I knew what!"

That so sounds like me. I have one of those personalities where I am either "all or nothing". One of the reasons I am trying this 10 minute a day challenge, to keep myself doing something every day, but trying to teach me that I don't need to do 2 hours a day.

I will go to the basement and do a load of laundry, and before I know it, I have done 6 or 8 loads, or cleaned the bathroom and the bedroom, and worked on the kitchen, etc.

Doing too much for sure. But, the other problem is as I mentioned before I need to wear my arch support shoes, and my arch supports if I am going to be on my feet. But, because I have been doing "just one more thing", I never think to put them on. lol

It does not hurt while I am doing it, and I am feeling so good for accomplishing so much, but in a day or two, I am in much pain.

Going for the middle ground, is where I need to be.

I went and got my great nieces this afternoon, and we went to the park. They played on the playground, and I used some of the equipment to exercise my arms and back, then we took about a 20 minute walk around the park.

I think this is my day 4. One day at a time, of course.

Have a great evening my friends.

My heels were bad about 15 years ago, then they got better with stretching and cortisone and the right shoes. They were doing great, and they I had 2 days in a row Universal Orlando, and they started acting up. I am doing all the right things and they are better than they were, but what a pain! I am trying the rowing machine, but I am just starting, and 5 minutes is all I can do. I do the elliptical first for 30 or so minutes, then tried the rowing. Today was just the second try, so hopefully In a week or two I'll be better at it! I am also walking 3 days a week, and while some days it is really hard, others it is fine... just depends on something... if only I knew what! LOL

We can do this!!!

Good luck, and glad we are joining up on this journey.

I had problems with my heels years ago, but was lucky that 3 times of having cortisone injections took care of that.

I, however, have very high arches, and also hate wearing shoes. Have been wearing sandals way too much, and my new knees have gotten really sore. For the last week and 1/2 I have been wearing my support shoes, along with my arch supports, and my knees are better.

I just have to get better about wearing shoes.

Good luck to all of you with your physical issues. God Bless

Yep, all good advice. I have had it for years. Take care of it, so hopefully it will go away for good.

Try ice a few times a day (I just sit with a bag of peas or something like that under my feet), put a yoga strap or towel around your foot (at the balls of your feet) and push your foot into it and then pull your foot towards you to stretch (several times a day) and never, never go bare foot. When mine flared really bad, I got a cortisone shot in the heels and that helped it enough that with the stretches and ice, it is under control and rarely bothers me.

I've been battling it since April. Went to the regular dr. and got inserts and stretches, then went to the podiatrist in June. More stretches, walking in the pool, no bare feet in the house, no flip flops, and no walking for exercise. I finally bought a rower for some no impact exercise. It's slowly getting better but it sure is annoying. Good luck with yours!

There are also ways to stretch that will make that plantar fasciitis disappear.

Hello, everyone,

Looks like a found a great place for accountability and ACTION. Just what I needed. I've been suffering with plantar fasciitis for a couple of months. Before that I was getting 10,000 + steps daily. Such a disappointment to be sidelined. Well, no more excuses. I just have to get creative and with your help, I WILL PREVAIL.

Yesterday was Day 1 of my streak. I wore my inserts, best tennis shoes, and managed a 30 minute walk around the lake. Just a tiny bit of soreness, but nothing major in pain, so I am encouraged.

Thanks for the links for chair zumba. I love to dance and will be getting out my video concerts and rocking it. Now, my focus is on weights, floor exercises and yoga. This can work.

Many thanks, Sparkguy, for sharing your vision and what is working for you. This retired Grammy in wild and wonderful West Virginia will follow you anywhere. I'm one streaking Grammy!!

Sending best wishes to all the teamies here for your success in your personal journey and challenges. We got this!!! Come say hello at my spark page and let's join forces.
