Thanks so much for the welcome everyone. Just thought I'd let you know that I've been inspired to start a team to encourage people who don't think they can walk. If you know anyone that needs encouragement maybe you will pass them our way. Slowly, one step at a time, everyone can do it!
At the moment all I can do is walk. I joined in June, and started taking a few tentative steps. Walking caused severe pain, but less than any other sort of exercise. Gradually I have built up my time and last week I completed the 5K in 5 weeks. I'm not ready to do more than walk yet, but am aiming to build up my endurance, and who knows, I may be able to consider jog/walk before the end of the year!
I'm committing to 10 minutes a day - with more on some days.
