Hi, and welcome to the team. I have Fibro and I hate to exercise. I know that exercise is good for me, but sometimes it just hurts to much. I guess the only thing I can say is do the best you can and enjoy life. emoticon emoticon

Hello,
You are off to a great start. Recognizing your pitfalls such as thinking of positives instead of negatives. I want to encourage you to do any kind of movement you can do. It all counts and really amazing how it helps mobility by just easy-does-it stretching. I was surprised that healthy eating is not as expensive as you think especially if you are used to buying the boxed meals. I needed to get blood pressure down and started duplicating ingredients from my boxed meals. With a little practice on seasoning, it tasted better and got twice as much for less money than the box. Then I focused on cheapest veggies. Don't worry about organic right now. Just eat as many veggies especially dried beans with brown rice. It is very cheap, filling, nutritious, and delicious. Wow, I think I will put some on right now. lol. Start having fun with food. Track everything and it is amazing what some celery, onions, potatoes, broccoli, little oven roasted chicken, and white sauce turns into. Quick and easy. I bake quite a few chicken breast (when on sale) and freeze them in smaller pkges (2c) and use them in homemade dishes like this as time/$ savings. I also try to include ginger when I can because it is a natural anti-inflammatory. Just if you or hubby is on blood thinners then check with doc to see how much you should use. I also will take 1/4 teaspoon of ginger (ground ginger in spice aisle) and enough honey to make a paste and take it. Within an hour a lot of inflammation is out of me. Very noticeable and amazing. Hello my name is Charlotte Myers-Dick. Part of me thinks I need to start this introduction as " Hello my name is Charlotte and I am a yo-yo dieter.' LOL! But the truth is I just have no self control. There I have said it and there is no taking it back. I know what I need to do, but the doing part is where I have my problems.

One of my biggest road block is my husband. He means well but for the most part he feels we can't afford to buy healthy food; and yeah money is tight but we can do a little better then what we buy, and I do try. I also have a few health problems I have to learn to work around. there's is the bad back, bad feet, frozen shoulder, and so on. I know this does not mean I can do any kind of exercise, so I have to look and find what I can do and stop looking at what I can't do.

So here we go day of my new get off my ass and do the work if i want to loss the weight plan!
