You are off to a great start. Recognizing your pitfalls such as thinking of positives instead of negatives. I want to encourage you to do any kind of movement you can do. It all counts and really amazing how it helps mobility by just easy-does-it stretching. I was surprised that healthy eating is not as expensive as you think especially if you are used to buying the boxed meals. I needed to get blood pressure down and started duplicating ingredients from my boxed meals. With a little practice on seasoning, it tasted better and got twice as much for less money than the box. Then I focused on cheapest veggies. Don't worry about organic right now. Just eat as many veggies especially dried beans with brown rice. It is very cheap, filling, nutritious, and delicious. Wow, I think I will put some on right now. lol. Start having fun with food. Track everything and it is amazing what some celery, onions, potatoes, broccoli, little oven roasted chicken, and white sauce turns into. Quick and easy. I bake quite a few chicken breast (when on sale) and freeze them in smaller pkges (2c) and use them in homemade dishes like this as time/$ savings. I also try to include ginger when I can because it is a natural anti-inflammatory. Just if you or hubby is on blood thinners then check with doc to see how much you should use. I also will take 1/4 teaspoon of ginger (ground ginger in spice aisle) and enough honey to make a paste and take it. Within an hour a lot of inflammation is out of me. Very noticeable and amazing.
