ditto what rikki said. when you're increasing your exercise, your body is changing...look at measurements and how your clothes fit rather than your weight. also, you may be under eating, which will make your body store even MORE fat to get you thru the next famine it thinks you're in. if you're exercising a lot, and tracking calories and exercise, pay attention to what your fitness tracker is telling you. if it says you're burning too many calories, change what you're eating. i figured that as long as i was eating my minimum 1200 calories, i was fine. there were weeks where i was burning 4-5,000 calories in exercise, and eating only 1200 cal/day. i started putting weight ON. i increased my calories, and dropped weight. it's a continual re-orienting task. hope you can find what works for you.
Remember that you're building muscle, which weighs more. I have the same problem with not eating enough and being in constant starvation mode, so my body holds onto ever ounce of fat. Have you done your measurements? I find that when I work out a lot, I lose inches but not necessarily a lot of weight. For example, in 2011 I started just concentrating on exercising my mid-section and lost nada...zip...zero, but went from a size 12 to size 10 pants, because I tightened up my belly and butt. I'm doing that again right now, because I feel like if I could just get down one size, I'd be encouraged to do more.

UGH..started going to the gym 5 days a week 7 Oct. Cardio and weights...Modifying my meals. haven't lost but a couple pounds. Ugh....What am I doing wrong. Well, Ithink???? I was not eating enough???? Working out about 1 hr x 5 days. I have been trying to change things up daily while increasing my indurance. But still.....a couple pounds. Now I am coming back, again to sparkpeople but need some guidance at the gym. Help. FYI...Stopped smokeing July 2011 and put on 30 pounds....ugh........for the weight gain.....ya for stopping smoking.
