Welcome. I had bad cravings, as well. But, I found out that if I quit drinking soda pop and eating sweets, the cravings for them went away. I also switched to whole grain breads, pastas and rice. The white stuff cause a jump in blood sugars and then a fast drop in them so, you feel hungry soon after eating. Remember the Chinese Restaurant "joke" about feeling hungry right after eating? White rice.
As for exercise, it's great for you. But, if you can't exercise because of back pain, you can still lose weight by just cutting your calories. I lost 40 lbs without exercising.

I am in my opinion 63 lbs overweight. I need to lose that much weight because I have COPD and 6 back surgeries. Losing the weight will help my breathing and my back pain. It's very intimidating at this point because I still haven't got control of my bad craving, of course, but the desire is strong. Would love to make some friends an d my need for a support group is much needed.
