I, too, am new to the site although picking it up quickly as it is similar to another site I was using until my company started blocking it. I am joining this club as I am only able to exercise for 10-20 minutes at a time due to a leg injury I sustained in a motorcycle accident last September... I had lost 64 lbs just before my accident and was within 25 lbs of my goal weight. Unfortunatelyl, my accident caused me to put about 30 lbs back on and now I have to lose 55 -65 lbs to meet my goal. It is frustrating but I guess when you're in a wheelchair you don't burn as many calories... and some of it was that I was depressed and in pain and since I don't do pain meds, eating was sometimes a coping mechanism for the 5 months I was unable to leave my house. Just like the bike though, I want to get back in the saddle and ride/diet/exercise again... so there's only one way to do that and that it to GET STARTED and stop procrastinating. I MISSED my elliptical with a passion, which I NEVER thought I'd say as before my last effort at losing weight i HATED exercise... but the elliptical is low impact and fun and easy to get used to so I'm back on it now, at about 10 minutes at a clip. I want to do more but I am also trying to be patient so as to no re-injure myself in any way. I wish you all the best of luck and hope that I can make the team proud by succeeding!

I haven't seen that pop up...sorry. The best advice I can give you is to take your time. Make sure to start with the "how to use this site" on your start page. Watch the video tutorials and read the articles...getting off on the right start helps tremendously! I have been a member since 2009 and only recently became active with the SparkTeams...big mistake! The teams are awesome! It has been so fun meeting people with similar goals and interests and the motivation is awesome! Have Fun Exploring The Spark!

aboard Carrie, there is quite a bit of knowledge here and I just suggest you start slow , like with logging in with your food and water, and as you go along you will pick up more, there are so many members here who will be more than happy to help you on this new journey
Hi, I am new to this site but love it so far. I am confused on how to use it yet, so any help would be appreciated. The other day a pop up came up showing all the calories for any restaurant. I can't seem to find it again. Any suggestions?
