Good luck to you Tammy. You came to the right place. As for walking, which is fantastic exercise, just get out there and do it. Sometimes doing it the first thing in the morning is good. I have a friend here on SparkPeople who is in your weight range and she is doing fantastically well with her weight loss. You can do as well, too!

Hello and Welcome to Spark People, Tammy!! Make small changes and be consistent with them. Try to find an Activity / Exercise that you enjoy and then do it often. The Articles and Daily Spark Blogs are valuable sources of information and motivation. You can learn a lot from reading a few articles a day. This can be a Bumpy Road, and there will be Detours and Dead Ends along the way. But your Spark Friends will be there to help you up when you fall and to applaud when you reach your Goals. hello everyone, i am new here and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am 39 years old I am obese and I have dealt with obesity most of my life. I am an emotional eater and I also eat when I am bored. I have finally told myself enough is enough. I am going to regain control of my eating. I know Its gonna take some time, I have been eating like this for years and yo yo dieting. I know its gonna take some time. I also have medical issues going on because of my weight and eating habits I have acid reflux/gerd, IBS., and maybe sleep apnea, also back aches and pains in my knees. Enough of me going on about my problems. I want to start an exercise regimen but unsure how to start or what exercises are right for me. I know walking is good and I want to start walking it is just building up motivation. Any Advice Please
