Good ideas, thanks! I bought some 1 cup containers to help with portions at lunch and I'm pulling out some old easy meal plans for dinners. All I need to do to those is add in more fruit and veggies. We'll see how next week at school goes.
One thing that has been working well for our family is I pack our main meal as lunch. I even make the lunch for those of us staying home. At night, we eat light; a big salad, soup and sandwich, etc. Once the kids are in bed, I do some pre-work on tomorrow's lunch and then in the morning finish up and pack it up.
For some reason it's easier to cook at night when I'm not starving and once the kids are down. It's faster too! This way we get a healthy, "on plan" well balanced lunch and it's not all resting on supper when I'm too stressed!
Hello everyone! I've been a member of Spark People for awhile but, I'm really just now getting started. I work with technology in a 6-8 grade middle school. I get quite a few steps in daily but, I need to do more plus work on my nutrition. One of my biggest problems is the that after a long day at school, I'm so tired the last thing I want to do is cook dinner. I'm making a plan but, any and all ideas are welcomed.
