Hi Vicki!

I, too am new to this group. Isn't it interesting how we sometimes just can't seem to find the time to exercise for even 10 minutes in a day? There are so many things that pull at our attention. But we have to keep reminding ourselves that we are doing this for us, and these changes will not only make us feel better about ourselves, but will help us in other areas of our lives as well.

So just remember, you are worth the investment and with God's help you will put yourself first! Great job on the 30 minute walk- keep it up! emoticon

Eliminate excuses and avoid procrastination! Just Do It!

Welcome to the team. Good work on your previous weight loss.

The basis of this team is to get us to move at least 10 minutes. It has been shown that exercising for 10 minutes 3 times a day is same as doing 30 minutes of continuous exercise. All minutes count, if you miss a day the count restarts where you left off.

I joined this team today. I walked about 15 minutes today, not counting the walking throughout the day. Got in over 10K steps and some light strength training.

I have a LOT of weight to lose and have been headed in the wrong direction.

Hi, I'm Vicki...I've been a member of SP for several years, but have been at a standstill for almost a year now, after losing about 55-60lbs...depending on the day! I think my main problem right now is consistency in my exercising and eating. I'm not sure how all of this works, but really want to get consistent and try to get going again. I've seen how people post the day they are on and how many minutes they exercise. So what if I have to miss a day? Does the count start back at zero? Just trying to get an idea of how it works. Anyways...today I am here, and with God's help, walked 30 minutes. I will post my minutes in the other topic area where others have posted. Hoping this will encourage me to at least to the 10 minutes and even more!
