Ah geeze. Coping seems to be the order of the day.

It sounds like your making really good choices though. While here you can diarise your food and help yourself make nutrient dense choices.

We're in the early stages of putting a treatment plant together for me. I saw my Gastro yesterday - its looking like I might be steroid dependent. In short I may have to take steroid ALL of the Time.

I've got a lung thing too, and just recovered from a bout of pnemonia which the steroid contributed towards.

Last evening I broke out in a rash. Typically I would have though, ah heat rash or maybe allergy. This time NO not Measles now!. They seem to have resolved this morning, which is reassuring; but it feels like
"shoes are hailing down everywhere." I'm certainly not having to wait long for shoes to drop.

Here's to doing what we can to be healthy.

..you may not be able to really feel compassion toward others until you are able to feel compassionate toward yourself. Margaret Paul

I have been a member of sparkpeople for several years. It helped me lose 60 lbs in the years past. After I got to a comfy weight, and got a promotion at work, I didn't have as much time. I quit coming to spark. I didn't completely abandon my healthy ways, just loosened a bit. I did fine until Feb, I got really sick. I was diagnosed with mild Crohn's in 2005. And I had a really bad flare.
I went to my doctor who gave me Asacol once again, and said to follow up in a few months. Within a week I could eat at all. Even drinking chicken broth put me in horrible pain for hours.
So to try to make this short, I am now considered moderate to severe Crohn's Colitis. I am on Humira, 6MP and an anti-spasm pill that I can't spell. Before we got the humira started I was on prednisone for 6 weeks. The first two weeks I still barely ate. But the last 4, it was game on! I was hungry 24/7 and craved salt like crazy.
My weight took a few huge jumps up, and hasn't really leveled out since. My family Doc said my metabolism was thrown "out of whack" and might take some time still to adjust.
So now I am still not to where I had once started off at, but I got almost 40 lbs to lose.
So I thought I would introduce myself. I hope everyone is having a great day. And I look forward to getting to know you all.

We are only as healthy as our secrets.
