I have had Crohn's for 12 years. I have been major flare free for the last three years. I have had no surgeries yet and manage my condition for the most part with meds. I am not on any biologics though....only asacol and mercaptopurine. I consider my condition mild to moderate. Living with the disease has gotten easier over the years. It seems so awful in the beginning.

My husband and I started an exercise program in January, not so much to lose weight but to build strength and toning. We are both in our 40s and I thought it was time. I have never really had a weight issue but did gain a few pounds when on Prednisone over the years...only to lose them when I get off the meds.

Overall, I feel better than I ever have. The exercise program has helped with the joint pain. I had torn a labram in my right hip last year and exercise has even helped this pain.

Doing well and wish the same for all of you.
