Hi everyone, I am fairly new to this website and this group. I originally started to use this site to track calories but found it has so much more to offer! I was first diagnosed with crohn 's my senior year of college and the first three years were mostly spent in pain and in and out of the hospital. I think the three years of really restricted food or sometimes not being allowed to eat at all (tube feeding = torture) has made dieting now that I have gained too much weight so much harder. I have had a lot of surgeries, colon removed / ileostomy in 93 and then resections every few years from blockages and strictures...and also abscesses as of the past 5 years. I have gotten pretty out of shape from having surgery every two years or less, but have gone over two years now (woooohoooo) and want to get back in control of my body so I joined a gym in Nov and actually like it a lot! I am glad to have found this group. It is amazing how different each person's journey with these diseases has been.
