That is great..I am a spin instructor and I end up doing 5 - 8 classes per week. I am not a fan of the spin, lift and spin... Lift and spin is a good idea.

I used spinning to loose over 100 lbs at the age of 45. keep up the good work.

It was AWESOME! I did better than I expected.

I didn't quite manage to stand up, but that will come with experience. I signed up for another (spinning only) class on Monday!

I'm only doing that particular class tomorrow. I do enough weight lifting at home! But I thought if would give me a chance to catch my breath. I'm pretty competitive emoticon

Have a great time! I am not a big fan of the classes that get on and off the bikes but I know alot of people who like them. Spin is very individual and you will have a blast!

That sounds great! I just started spinning about 6 weeks ago and I now take 4 classes a week. It is very addictive. Just remember to do it at your own pace...do not worry about the people around you. It's your workout and your body. You will have a blast I promise. I never thought I could do it either and I am 54 years old.

Hi! I'm Patricia from south Florida.

I just signed up for my first spinning class tomorrow. The woman I talked to was 4'11" and just a tiny thing. She said she used to weigh over 200 pounds!

It's actually a pedal & pump class, where you pedal and then lift weights and then pedal again.
I'm sure I already pump harder than what we will do in class, but it breaks up the riding. Will give me a chance to catch my breath!

I'm excited and nervous at the same time, since in real life I am very shy!
