I agree with Lexie that since you are only 37 that this is not the first thing they would have thought of. I was diagnosed when I was in my 40's & was told then that it was unusual for someone as young as I was to have diverticulosis. Thanks Grandma!
Yeah I wish I would have known sooner. Based on the "pain" I have now which is nothing like earlier in the week and just more there on the lower left I think I may have had this for about 5 years now. I am starting to realize I have some issues with dealing with stress and we think this is a major contributor. I can tell you now I will be very strict with my diet. I meet with a specialist this week. Nothing like having this around Thanksgiving LOL :) Thanks for your reply. Hope you feel bettter as well.

I suspect that because you are only 37, diverticulitis wouldn't have been the first thing the doctor would have considered, as that is a little young to be having this problem generally speaking, but I agree that claiming pain on your left side was because of your right ovary is rather bizarre. *shakes head*
Feel better soonest. Just coming off a diverticulitis attack myself, so feel your pain. Hugs, Lex xxx
Hi, Julie here. I am new to all of this and never want to go through what I went through this week again. For 5 years I have been told my pain (when not severe) was due to ovarian cysts. I even had my left ovary out 6 months ago. Intertesingly enough I had such severe pain etc. on my left side this week than when I was told it was from cysts on my right ovary I told them they were insane and I would not accept that as the answer. So here I am after finally go to the right doctor and demanding other tests. I am on the meds now, have a severe infectin and absecess, and just starting to learn about all of this. Any tips are welcome. I am still only eating "soft" foods. I need to lose a little weight as well. Never hurts :)
