Welcome, Nicole! Good for you for giving adult life a go emoticon and please know that it isn't necessarily easier if you're older -- you have to be wiser, too, lol. It sounds like you are learning a lot of the things that many of us don't figure out (about ourselves and the world) until much later, so I think you're doing great. emoticon

I'm glad you found us!

Hey friends,
My name is Nicole,I'm 19 and live in a small town in Michigan. I love being outdoors, and going to the sleeping bear dunes in the summer. I am a photography addict,as well as a food addict lol. I love animals and being around my family and friends. And,I love to cook. I live with my boyfriend and his sister, and have three amazing brothers of my own. I moved out last September, not because of family problems or conflicts, but because I want to show my parents that I can be independent. Well,it was MUCH harder than i anticipated. I've been struggling to keep up with paying rent, and also to keep up with a job that pays more than minimum wage.
I've come to the realization recently, that I need help!(as hard as it was for me to admit it) With the stress of being on my own,and not being able to support myself financially, I've become an emotional eater. I also am dealing with depression, which as some of you may know,it makes things a lot more difficult. I lack motivation. At this point in my life,I am glad I found this website. No,I am thankful that I found it.
I hope to learn from other's,and possibly teach other's,that are in my situation. There is no point in struggling by yourself, with the support of other people,I hope to reach my goals and become a happier, healthier person.
