Hi from a fellow Yooper ! I also joined yesterday, and have a goal of losing nearly 100 pounds, so you are not alone... It IS hard to get started, but set small goals and take one day at a time -- I KNOW I can do it, and you can too!

I hope to find a lot of support and motivation from my Michigan friends. I forgot to add one thing that proves to be a roadblock...I have little to no will power :( Although I'm not really looking forward to it, I am going downstairs to jump on my treadclimber. I have to tell myself that if I can make time to do some of the things that I like, sleeping and eating for instance, I should be able to make time to exercise; I may find that I like it. Good journey to you :)

Hi everyone-

This is my first full day at SparkPeople and it's not going too bad. I have quite a journey ahead of me as I have over 50 lbs to lose to be at my goal weight. I need to stay motivated and will definitely need help with that. I am a huge proscrastinator. "I'll start exercising tomorrow" is a favorite of mine, but unfortunately, that tomorrow never comes.

I heard about SparkPeople from a friend at work and thought, "what the heck," I've tried every other diet, might as well give this a go." This will be more convenient for me than driving 20 miles to weigh in at a meeting. Good luck to everyone emoticon
