Chris, Congrats on your decision to stop smoking. 15 months with a smoke is a huge accomplishment. If you can do that, you can lose the weight. I started my spark journey a year ago and lost 40 pounds. My cholesterol level is now normal. This is a great site. I recommend getting involved with some teams and adding some supportive spark buddies. It is this community support and using the tracker (food and fitness) that has help me get to where I am. Sure I have hit some potholes along the way. You just learn from them and move on forward.

Two years ago I decided I needed to get a healthy. I chose to quit smoking. I'm proud to say it's been 15 months since I've lit up. However, I also have gained over 50 lbs. in doing so. NOW it's time to work on the weight. A friend of mine told me about this sit and I joined a month ago just to see what was up. I discovered I liked what I saw and now want to be a part of this community.
My goal is to lose weight. Big goal is 110 lbs. At 57 I know ths will be a long, hard road to travel but I believe I'm there mentally now. Would like some encouragement and advice from those who wish to give it. And thanks in advance for all of those who travel the road with me!
