Welcome Ashely! One tip I have heard is to make an appt in your schedule for yourself - for planning meals and for exercise, just like you would make an appt for anything else. You can do it!

Hey Ashley, welcome! I'm from Bay City myself. Do you have anyone around that you could exercise with that could help keep you motivated? It can really help to have others close by that you can do things with. That is the nice thing about having the teams here for local sparkers.

Hi! My name is Ashlie. I am trying to lose about 30 lbs in a year and I sure hope that I can do it. I am nervous because I have never had to do this before, and my motivation sometimes seems to be non-existant. I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, volunteering, reading, shopping, sports, and travelling. I am always on the go which makes dieting and working out so difficult. I need to find time for myself.
