Hello and welcome from Mio.

Laura

Lord help me remember that nothing is going to happen today that you and I can't handle together.

If ignorance is bliss why aren’t more people happy?

I used to do Weight Watchers on-line and the discipline of entering my daily food and exercise really worked for me. But then life became a bit stressful caring for my elderly mother and other issues and I lost that discipline and regained the weight I had lost. Like many of you, I got discouraged and gave up for awhile, but now I'm back! I had heard about SparkPeople before, but I was committed to Weight Watchers before. But that program has become cost prohibitive, so I'm glad this option is available to us.

I'll be turning fifty next year (ouch!) and my goal is to be "fit by fifty". I had wanted to be fit by forty, but I'm not letting that failed goal discourage me this time. I have sixteen months to lose sixty pounds, which breaks down to just 400 calories a day. :-)
